About E-Girls
E-Girls is an association founded in Réunion Island with the ambition of improving the place of women and girls in every sector where they remain underrepresented.
Our story
E-Girls was born from frustration.
We were tired of hearing statements such as:
“That profession is not for women.”
“You will never make it.”
“If a girl does better than me, I quit.”
We were also tired of seeing some of us doubt our abilities simply because we worked in environments where women were few.
One day, we asked ourselves: why not create a space where we can simply be ourselves, support one another, share our experiences and enjoy spending time together?
E-Girls is first and foremost a community where people can talk, learn, laugh, meet new people and move forward together. It is also a way of showing that no profession, passion or dream should be limited by stereotypes.
Because our message is ultimately simple:
Whether someone is a woman or a man, everyone belongs wherever they choose to be.
If you want to work in construction, technology, agriculture, gardening, engineering, science, crafts, industry, entrepreneurship or any other field, go for it.
And if we can help you gain confidence and take that first step, we will already have achieved something meaningful.
